From Kalaw’s Trails to Marketing Boardrooms

Background Story

The Journey Begins

Most people spend their summer holidays during their teenage years in a speaking class or a computer class. I spent mine guiding international trekkers through the rolling hills of Kalaw, Southern Shan State

  • Trekking Guide

At just 13, I was guiding trekkers through the misty hills of Kalaw, Southern Shan State, sharing stories about my hometown and learning the art of connecting with people from all over the world. Those trails taught me lessons in communication, trust, and leadership long before I ever set foot in a newsroom or a marketing department.

That early start as a guide gave me a foundation that shaped everything I do today: making people feel understood, engaged, and connected.

  • The Media Years

At 22, I stepped into the world of journalism, first as a translator and later as a journalist at MITV. For six years, I told stories that mattered—reporting news, translating ideas, and finding the angles that made people stop and listen. Journalism sharpened my instincts for truth, timing, and storytelling.

  • Moving into PR & Marketing

In 2014, I joined Rocket Internet’s venture, work.com.mm, as a PR Manager. It was my first leap into the fast-paced world of startups and public relations, where I learned how to build trust between brands and audiences.

After that, I became a Digital PR Specialist at Havas Riverorchid, managing campaigns that blended creativity with measurable impact.

  • From Sports to Banking

My journey then took me to My Sports (Eleven Sports) as a Marketing Manager, where I built campaigns around something millions of people are passionate about—sports.

Later, I joined MCB Bank as Head of Marketing & Communications, where I led brand transformations, digital campaigns, and corporate communications in one of Myanmar’s leading financial institutions.

Each chapter built a new layer of expertise: from PR and media relations to digital marketing, brand building, and leadership.

  • Entrepreneurship & Training

    Today, I wear multiple hats:

Founder of Rendezvous Digital Hub – where we help businesses scale through creative and data-driven digital marketing.

Digital Marketing Trainer & Mentor – empowering professionals and businesses with the skills to navigate today’s fast-changing digital landscape.

Founder of Trekking Information Center Myanmar (TiC) – my passion project that brings travelers closer to Myanmar’s natural beauty through trekking, hiking, mountaineering, camping, and city tours, especially in and around Kalaw of Shan Plateau.

Why It Matters

Whether I’m guiding a brand, training a team, or leading a trek through Shan State, one thing stays the same: I help people discover possibilities—be it through a marketing strategy, a story, or an unforgettable journey.

Beyond Work

Outside the campaigns, strategies, and workshops, I’m still a traveler at heart. Every journey reminds me that experiences shape creativity, and each new place offers a fresh lens to see the world.

No matter the role we play—founder, trainer, marketer, or storyteller, I believe we should always stay true to three principles:

Authenticity First

because real stories connect deeper than polished ads.

Creativity with Strategy

Ideas must always be brought to life and drive results.

Sharing Knowledge

because growth happens when we lift others up
